Just a Thought on the 4th of July
I was just wondering. Is it appropriate, in light of the impingement on our Constitutional freedoms over the past several years, to celebrate our independence? To put it another way, is it rational to celebrate independence as our government moves more and more to make us more dependent? Or would a call for action be more appropriate? Just askin'.

Good thought. Are we independent any more? Not really.
It all seems kind of somber to me, as if this might be the last time we do it. Not that I think it is, but if it were, it would FEEL like it seems today.
A call for action is indeed appropriate, but an ongoing call every day, not just today.
