The "Why birds?" is because of the number of people who have asked me about the name ("Winging it") and especially the website (birdsoftheair.blogspot.com). I originally started this blog to write about birds (and quickly realized it would work for a week or two), so people wonder why the interest in birds. I tell them because birds scream "design" and "Creator."
Thanks for the explanation. I certainly concur with your last sentence. I could see how one could talk about birds quite a bit if he/she focused on the amazing design aspect and skipped the “evolved from dinosaur” nonsense most of the “experts” spout. (I read a lot of great [true] stuff about birds at Creation.com, among other places.)
The very next day after you posted this video, I viewed a museum exhibit in Deadwood, SD, called “Things With Wings.” It included the ruby-throated hummingbird, which, they stated, has the fewest feathers of all birds (I had not known that particular fact). In a different museum we saw an exhibit featuring dinosaurs and fossils; there was a depiction of an archaeopteryx with a placard reading, “The First Bird?” I said to myself, “Instead of planting speculative and implausible questions in peoples' minds in order to promote your evolution lies, you could instead learn about the well-substantiated biological differences between reptiles (dinosaurs) and avians (birds) and how those differences could not be the result of evolution. Then you would know that it was most definitely NOT the first bird but simply a flying dinosaur. See how rejecting God’s Word makes you foolish (and accepting it makes me wise)?”

By no rational means can I see that developing over time. Only by a wonderful Creator do such intricate structures come about.
Well said, David.
Awesome video on these amazing flyers. Laurie and I have feeders on our patio, and they are quite the entertainers!
Glad you posted this, for I didn't know about the john 10:10 project.
We just love hummingbirds and have feeders in front and back. The photos I have captured are sometimes more astounding than others!
Yes, there is no way these just developed in millions of steps; God created them as they are.
That was a great video! Thanks for sharing that with your fellow bird lovers. I am wondering about your title, though. Why “Why Birds?” ??
