Every word of God is tested; He is a shield to those who take refuge in Him (Prov 30:5).Even more interesting when in contrast to Man.
Let God be found true, though every man a liar (Rom 3:4).So, here we sit. We are surrounded by Man's words. Our primary source of values is a Man-based (not male-based) system of values predicated from the beginning on "Did God say ...?" And what do we know about what God said? "Every word of God is tested." Tried and true. Completely reliable. Without question.
So we have to decide. Will we stand on our feelings and our experiences and our intuition and our biases, or will we stand on "every word of God"? If it is true that "Every word of God is tested" and God's word says, "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it?" (Jer 17:9), that question should be pretty easy to answer, shouldn't it? And when you consider the absolute reliability of God's word, it should become really clear why it can be said with certainty that "He is a shield to those who take refuge in Him."
