Nonsensical Science
The current mode of thinking in our world is materialism. The word has two definitions. One is the obvious "I always want more." The other is the existential meaning that all things are a product of matter, not ... spiritual or especially not God. I'm talking about the latter. So the news item about polar bears is bizarre. The story says that "new research suggests polar bears are rapidly rewiring their own genetics in a bid to survive." It's about how their genetics are changing to survive climate change. It's fascinating that the story is framed to suggest polar bears are consciously altering their own genes ("rewiring their own genetics"). But it happens all the time. Watch a nature documentary about seemingly miraculous things in life and they can't avoid saying how this or that is "designed" for such and such ... all the while denying design. As if "that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them" (Rom 1:19).
The Passing of a Director
Rob Reiner, actor, director, activist, philanthropist, and more, and his wife were found dead Sunday from stab wounds in their home in Los Angeles. Police have arrested and charged Nick Reiner, their son. (It seems as if no one can escape being excoriated at death.)
Unhappy Hanukah
The "religion of peace" strikes again. At Bondi Beach in Australia a Hanukah party was attacked by a gunman associated with ISIS killing nearly two dozen people. Related, at least in terms of terrorism and Islamic leanings, the FBI foiled a New Year's Eve terror plot planned across southern California by a pro-Palestinian, anti-government group to bomb at least five locations. Remember, people -- ideologies, hearts, intents -- are the problem, not the particular weapons they use.

The Bee reports on a groundbreaking study that finds that it's remotely possible that some Islamophobia may be caused by ... Muslims killing people a lot. I'm just sayin'. To those parents who are struggling to figure out what to get their kids for Christmas, President Trump has suggested that ... maybe ... bad kids don't deserve presents. Expect a run on coal. And the Bee apparently copied a story I did myself. Jesus is kind of bummed at being born on December 25th, since His birthday will be overshadowed by Christmas every year.
(My daughter was actually born on Christmas. I gave her a card like this on her birthday one year.)
Must be true; I read it on the internet.

Nonsensical Science
I just saw a video talking about dark matter. In it, they mentioned how they don't actually know what it is, and it causes the universe to move in ways they wouldn't predict, and that it "directs" the formation of the universe. Everytime anyone speaks about the development of things, they can't help but speak of design or direction.
The Passing of a Director
It is a shame that they were killed, and presumably by their own son. It is even more of a shame of the reactions by some, not so much celebrating it, but being okay with it because he wasn't politically aligned with them. I had hoped the reaction on the Left to Charlie Kirk would have given the Right more introspection about how we treat the death of our opponents.
Unhappy Hanukkah
Such a tragedy, but not entirely unexpected from people that hate a specific religious group. But hey, let's keep importing people that hate everything we stand for and justify their slaughter of others by their religion.

I am sure that “rewiring their own genetics” is viewed as “evolution” by those scientists, too, when it is not at all. Instead, what they are observing (and rightly marveling at) has occurred quadrillions of times as God’s creatures--each ingeniously designed to adapt to changing regional habitats and conditions over time--survive and thrive in a changing world. On the other hand, evolution (if it were true) requires organisms (in various primitive states) to be “rewiring their own genetics” on a colossal scale--and having had to do so through much more varied upheaval than melting ice caps--so such a marvel should not really surprise any “materialist” observing it now. The proponents of evolution are happy to give mere finite creatures all the credit for making these astounding adaptations all on their own, yet they consider creationists gullible for acknowledging that Almighty God has enabled it.

Not being a huge movie-watcher, I think of Rob Reiner mainly as “Meathead” (and a liberal activist, as I understand it). It was sad to learn of the Reiners’ tragic deaths and also to know that neither of them knew Jesus Christ, of course. I had heard of Trump’s recent comments about Reiner--yet another instance of despicable behavior.

To me, the funny aspect of the story about Jesus’ unhappiness about sharing His birthday with “Christmas” is offset by the true and sad irony that many people are immensely occupied with celebrating a holiday meant to mark an unprecedented event in history that holds absolutely no meaning to them personally. And as your graphic depicts, Jesus sees through all of it.
I find it amazing how often Materialists/Naturalists/Darwinists rely on language that imputes purpose, guidance, intent, to a process which the insist is purposeless and random. As you note they regularly insist that things look designed, then deny the possibility of design, and their own ability to observe.
If they didn't control the academy, this nonsense would have been put to bed long ago.
