Why is it that some people are seething -- some, angry enough to kill -- while driving because they lose a minute or two behind slow drivers, but are delighted to waste hours in front of TV screens?
I realize that when I act this way I am really angry with myself for not having left the house at a reasonable time. However, I would still like to see people understand that if someone is coming up behind them, they likely would be better off in a lane further to the right. Those on the right should never be going faster than those to their left. That's kinda the way it's supposed to work.
In my state of Illinois, among the many bad ideas that have become policy, is a law that cites a law-abiding driver from NOT moving over for the guy coming up hard behind him, even if the law-abiding driver is abiding the posted speed limit. Isn't that nuts? Giving a ticket because you WEREN'T speeding, but merely impeding the law-breaking of the guy behind you. I live in an alternate universe.
